If you are looking for a deck that helps students visually discriminate between CVC words as well as to decode them, this one will be a scaffold. This will satisfy foundational standards for early learners as well as for English learners. The simple layout with visuals is predictable and reassuring for reluctant learners. The words are simple cvc words and a few nonsense words that can be decoded easily, which is especially useful for English learners who need to add to their "lexicons". Students have three CVC words to decode and choose which one fits the photos. Directions have audio and there are examples of each sound with audio as well.
