Description: Your students will become experts at segmenting syllables with this deck of zoo animals! There are 27 cards with complete directions on the first card. All the other cards name the animal. The children can say the names aloud or clap the names to determine how many syllables there are in each word. To answer, they only have to click on the correct number above the zoo sign. Twenty cards are presented in random order in each session but you can adjust that amount in your library. A great way to introduce segmenting syllables as a whole group activity! And use this deck for individual practice at stations or centers.
